Here I have the basic scene I have set up for creating liquid from a tutorial. I will be following multiple tutorials that help me learn different skills and learn the parameters needed which can carry over into my own projects.

Phoenix FD Explorationįor this week I plan on exploring PhoenixFD and learning the tools available within the plugin. Testing in each individual software will decide which is easier and which is more effective. I believe this is more to with the fact that PhoenixFD is a plugin whereas Realflow is its own program. The Ui comes across as friendly as it familiar to a user as it is the same as the 3D however it looks more limiting in comparison to Realflow. The next image shows the Ui for PhoenixFD which is a plugin for 3DS Max. Here we can see the Ui of Realflow as well as some work going on, this makes the software look complex but also displays what is going on which leads me to believe that it is very capable and will produce good results. Looking at the different UI’s in each of the different software’s paints a different picture as to what can be created. To properly learn about liquid and try to master the skill I have decided I will use both PhoenixFD and Realflow as they are the 2 leading software for creating liquid however I will also be looking into using Blobmesh and see why this is not rated very well. Further ResearchĪfter my early research i decided to delve into liquid more and find tutorials from which i could learn from and use in each software to expand my skills so I can go forward and make my own products/simulations. Another method that I found is Blobmesh which available within 3DS Max however is considered not as good as the other 2 options.

The main 2 main ways that I found people create liquid is through the plugin PhoenixFD for 3DS Max and through the use of Realflow. Early Researchįrom my early research into liquid I found that there are multiple ways to make liquid. I will also be exploring what is used to create liquid and liquid simulations and exploring these different types of software and seeing what they can do. For my project I will be focusing on liquid and how it can be recreated and used.
